Cullen awarded Order of Canada

Gardening writer and personality Mark Cullen was named a Member of the Order of Canada on July 1, 2016.
A ceremonial tree planting at the Coroner’s Office Complex in Toronto on Nov. 6 began the Highway of Heroes campaign to plant 117,000 trees along Hwy. 401. Exciting ceremonies begin Highway of Heroes tree project

Two official ceremonies kicked-off ambitious Highway of Heroes Tribute, which will honour Canada’s war dead with the planting of trees along Hwy. 401.
Mark Cullen motivated members with his pledge of $30,000 towards scholarships for young people interested in a green industry career. He’s challenged LO members to raise $100,000 to put towards the scholarship program.
